1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Who abides under the shadow of the Almighty,
2 He is saying of יהוה, “My refuge and my stronghold, My Elohim, in whom I trust!” [Ps 9:9];
3 For He delivers you from the snare of a trapper, From the destructive pestilence. Ps 124:7; [Job 5:19];
4 He covers you with His feathers, And under His wings you take refuge; His truth is a shield and armour. Ps 57:1; [Matt 23:37]; [Luke 13:34];
5 You are not afraid of the dread by night, Of the arrow that flies by day, Job 5:19-20; Prov 3:25; Song 3:8; [Prov 3:24];
6 Of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Of destruction that ravages at midday.
7 A thousand fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it does not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes you look on, And see the reward of the wrong ones. [Prov 29:16];
9 Because you have made יהוה – My refuge, the Most High – your dwelling place,
10 No evil befalls you, And a plague does not come near your tent;
11 For He commands His messengers concerning you, To guard you in all your ways. Ps 34:7; Matt 4:6; Luke 4:10; [Prov 3:23]; [Prov 4:12];
12 They bear you up in their hands, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. Luke 4:11;
13 You tread upon lion and cobra, Young lion and serpent you trample under foot. Job 5:22-23;
14 “Because he cleaves to Me in love, Therefore I deliver him; I set him on high, Because he has known My Name.
15 “When he calls on Me, I answer him; I am with him in distress; I deliver him and esteem him. [Zech 13:9];
16 “With long life I satisfy him, And show him My deliverance.”

The Natsarene of the First Century C.E., as described in Acts 24:5 who were also called “The Way”; were the original followers of Y’shua HaMashiyach. They are sometimes mistakenly referred to as “Early Christians”, which they were not. They survived up into the 3rd-4th century C.E. despite all the efforts of both Christianity and Judaism to silence them and are being re-created today in a small but growing minority within a minority of truth seakers who are called to Torah and our Jewish Mashiyach Y’shua. May he come again soon and in our day! Amen?

A Rebuttal To “Jesus, Yeshua or Yahshua? as presented by Tuvia Pollack in ‘Kahila News Israel’ 11/10/19

Amen and Shabbat Shalom! Hebrew is the Lashon Kadosh (holy tongue) so we might as well learn it now; not only to prepare for His Kingdom of Righteousness to come, but to better understand the D’var HaYHWH (B’H) now.

Mr. Pollack, I must take issue with you on a few things that you have written. Yehoshua is the Hebrew Name of our Messiah, which in His day was spoken in the lingua franca of the common people of Yisra’el as Yeshua/Y’shua, which was Aramaic, a sister language of Hebrew.

At this point in the History of Yisra’el, there existed amongst those who observed Torah, general hatred of anything coming from the Seleucid Empire, including their writings, language, and other Jews who had adopted their ‘Hellenistic’ lifestyle and beliefs. It seems as if Antiochus IV Epiphanes had done some very evil things to those who would not, and did not, ‘bend the knee’ and convert to his pagan ideas of worship and Deity.

To stand for the El of Yisra’el, His Torah, and the faith of the Patriarchs as did Judah Ben Maccabee and his followers in their own land meant at best, a quick but certain death at the hands of the Seleucids or the Hellenists. These events and the reciprocal animosity and resentment of all things Seleucidian can be tied to the rejection of The Septuagint as produced by the Hellenists of Alexandria some years earlier, by those of the Torah Observant in Judea, who accepted the Pentateuch only.

Fast forward just a few years later to the time of the Promised One, HaMashiyach Y’shua; and you will find His Talmidim (all Torah observant Jews themselves), as members of the hated Torah Observant Jewish Sect called HaNatsarene (Acts 24:5) following their Rabbi along the dusty trails of Judea, as He Himself taught them and others concerning ‘The Way’ of Salvation, straight from the Tanakh.

These were not ‘Christians’, and not even ‘early Christians’ as some would claim. They were first called this by the Gentiles at Antioch but never called themselves that. HaNatsarene were hated and viciously persecuted by both the corrupted Jewish Sect called P’rushim because of their faith in Y’shua as Elohim, and the new religion, for their faithful observance of Torah and many Jewish Traditions even though they followed Y’shua as Mashiyach. This, of course, included the 7th day Biblical Sabbath which was specifically outlawed by the ‘greatest’ Christen in History, and founder of that faith, Constantine; who called those of the Natsarene ‘Judaizing Christians’ for their continued observance of it.

Christianity had sprung up from the Jewish Hellenists and other pagans as the false religion that Sha’ul had warned about.

The faith which the Natsarene proclaimed of Messiah and Torah existed upon the map of history parallel to Judaism and Christianity up into the fourth century C.E. when they seemed to disappear off the face of the earth. There are some reports of them appearing sometime during the middle ages but then vanishing again. Nevertheless, there are many today attempting to restore that pure Torah Observant faith filled with the heart of Mashiyach but devoid of the teachings of man.

It is that faith of HaNatsarene that proclaims the antinomian, Westernized, Greco, Romanish one called J-sus a pagan imposter who falsely teaches that he has done away with obedience to the perfect Torah of liberty from sin and confusion; teaching pagan ‘holidays’ in lieu of the Holy Mo’edim (Appointed Times/Feasts of YHWH [B’H]). It is that faith of HaNatsarene that teaches Y’shua as the perfect living embodiment of Torah, and the Kinsman Redeemer for all who would follow him in loving obedience to the Restoration of The Yisra’el of YHWH (B’H)!

Of late, I’ve been seeing more posts than ever concerning “The Rapture”. People want to know when is it going to take place? I might be wrong, but I don’t see any reference in the bible to the return of Mashiyach ‘In That Day’, as some kind of ‘Rapture’.

The commonly used texts to support this ‘theory’ of a ‘rapture’ instead of a resurrection as taught by the P’rushim (Pharisees of Y’shuas time) and the sect of Judaism called HaNatsarene; can be found in Mat. 24:40 and Lk. 17:36. I have always looked upon these texts to mean that not everyone is going to make it into the Kingdom, then someone came along and tried to explain to me just how those two texts form the foundational principal of, and belief in, “The Rapture”. My first thought at that time, as it continues to be to this day, is that someone with quite an imagination, inspired by an ‘unfamiliar spirit’, had to make a gigantic stretch to get from here, to there!

I find no supporting evidence in the Bible, or within the history and teachings of Judaism, that shows a belief in some kind of ‘rapture’, instead of a resurrection. This adds support to the understanding that this theory is a creation of 19th century Christianity.

The deliverance of B’ney Yisra’el, The Children of Yisra’el, from the bondage of slavery of Egypt, into The Promised Land, has been the predominate shadow picture and example of our corporate transformation from the mortal, to the immortal. The picture painted for us is one of the Yisra’el of YHVH, the seed of Abraham and those who have been adopted into the family of Elohim, who as a group and at one time ‘cross over’ into the Heavenly Kingdom (The Promised Land). Never do we see Yisra’el separated into two groups at a time repeatedly referred to in Scripture as ‘In That Day’, with some crossing over but others left behind where they receive a second chance for redemption at the end of a seven-year period called ‘the tribulation’!

Also, I’ve noticed a change in the title of this ‘man-made’ concept. As I recall, it was once commonly referred to as “THE SECRET RAPTURE”. Would anyone care to bring me up to speed on this, like, when did this change occur and why is it no longer a secret?

In conclusion, without being rooted in the firm foundation of the Tanakh, and specifically Torah, we can find ourselves adrift in a turbulent sea of man-made theories and conclusions based upon the circular reasoning of a primarily New Testament only Biblical view. This view forms the foundation of the theory called the ‘ (Secret) Rapture’. This existing theory is completely at odds with the Scriptural foundation of a Resurrection as taught prior too, during, and after the first advent of Y’shua HaMashiyach.

Yohanan Aleph (1 John) 5:7-8

Does Yohahan Aleph 5:7-8 support a ‘Trinitarian” doctrine?

Looking at 1John 5:7 (using TS2009) I do not see a Trinitarian doctrine presented, as others might. Verse 8 goes on to explain that the three who bear witness are 1) “the Spirit”, 2) the “Water”, and 3) the “Blood”; and going on to say, “and the three are in agreement.” The “Three who bear witness” in vs. 7 are clearly outlined in vs. 8, therefore if this is some later edition written in support of a Trinitarian Doctrine; it is missing two of the ‘G-d head’, The Father and The Son needed to make a trinity.

The “Spirit”
The ‘Spirit’ is not shown to be another individual, which if so could be a problem since it is the ‘Spirit’ that emanates from Elohim (Heb. Plr. ‘mighty ones’, i.e., Father and Son), to each of us, who must choose daily whether to accept or reject its’ message and contact with us.

The “Water”:
Water, as represented here, is necessary for cleansing, and renewal of body, mind, and spirit. Torah teaches that we must each ‘pass through the water’, both physically and spiritually to cleanse ourselves of anything ‘unclean’ that would cause separation from His Divinity. In Judaism, the ‘mikvah’ (baptismal in xianity) is filled with ‘Living Water’, that one immerses in while in a fetal position, three times. Each time coming up and proclaiming the Words of a Psalm of praise and thanksgiving. It is through this process that it is taught one is ‘born again’ (the original thought developed long before xianity came onto the scene).

The “Blood”:
In Hebraic thought and Scripture, blood contains the ‘Nefesh’ or soul of the one it came from. This is why Scripture counsels us not to eat the blood of an animal because we ingest the ‘soul’ of the beast when we do so. On the other hand, it is the blood of the offering that was sprinkled on all Yisra’el by the High Priest once a year at Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) for the forgiveness of corporate sin. It is through the blood of the perfect atonement for all mankind in the form of Y’shua Messiah, through His Unspeakable Free Gift, that we may have forgiveness of sin and the will to be obedient to Him and His Commandments; out of love and gratitude for what He has done, is doing, and will do for each of us.

As stated in vs. 8, the ‘three’ are in agreement, that is, they work together in perfect harmony. 1 John 5:7-8 (TS2009) appears to be in full agreement with Torah. Any scribal bias shown through changes to the written Word as seen here would most likely be in support of a Trinitarian doctrine, which, in this case, is not present.

Far and above any debate over these and other texts in the Ketuvim Netzarim (K.N., N.T.), the Tanakh (O.T.), and specifically Torah (first 5 books of the O.T. and our litmus test of any and all spiritual teachings) does not present or support a Trinitarian Doctrine, even though all of the elements are present. If we were to take the approach that the K.N. or N.T. was the proof of itself, we would be guilty of using ‘circular reasoning’, and as such, we would be setting ourselves up to be misled, and/or, to be deceived.

Respectfully, and In His Service

Sha’ul ben haNetzarim

Beit Echad (House of Unity) is a virtual Netzarim Yahudim Chavurut (Nazarene Jewish Fellowship) and Beit Midrash (House of Study). Our mission is to join with like-minded believers in the restoration of the faith as it was known during the 1st century C.E.; a ‘Sect’ of Judaism (Acts 24:5) who were, and are, Torah Observant followers of Yehoshua (Y’shua), our very Jewish and Torah Observant Messiah and King of Yisra’el.

There are certainly many historical, Biblical, and religious markers that give us an understanding of who the original Netzarim were, what they taught and believed in, that are well documented and indisputable. Naturally, since we are over two thousand years away from the original, there are areas that must be pieced together by some good old fashioned and unbiased detective work.

We say “That’s o.k. we’ll be unbiased, let’s do some detective work!” Really? today with our own individual beliefs based on teachings from our fathers that in many cases just don’t hold up to close scrutiny, combined with our twenty-first century perspective on a lifestyle that is totally alien to us; that is, the lifestyle of the first century c.e. Middle Eastern Jewish followers of Y’shua, there is a huge mountain of things that must happen for us to arrive at a point that we can honestly say, “I’m unbiased enough to begin learning what it meant, and what it means to be a Netzarim Yahudim.

So how are we to be honest and objective in our search for the truths that have been covered by time?

For us to be good researchers and detectives we must ‘un-learn’ most everything we have been taught or learned on our own through the eyes of modern Western Religion and proceed as students of an ancient society, immersing ourselves as much as possible into its’ history, culture, and language, along with all of the everyday components that made it what it was.

Group Rules of Participation: Your first posts to the group must be approved by the group admin, prior to posting, after that, you will be allowed to post as usual under the following guidelines.

Who is welcome to participate in our Chavurut (Fellowship)?

Netzarim Yahudim, Netzarim Yisra’el, Christians (of all types), Jews (of all types), and anyone who might wish to learn about our teachings and beliefs; subject to the following criteria which may or may not change at any time, and subject to the administrator (s) decision:

  1. All group participants are required to be civil and respectful to each other, even though they may disagree; in other words, disagreement is acceptable, as long as it’s not disagreeable.
  2. Foul language in any form will not be permitted, including name calling.

If you are Jewish and you are religious or not, you are welcome here. If you have come to learn about your Jewish Messiah, Y’shua, you are welcome here. You will not be welcomed here if you have come as an anti-missionary to debate our beliefs, or because you think we are Jews for J-sus or some other Messianic Christian Group, etc., This is not the place for you and YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE by the group admin.

If you are Christian you are welcome here if you have come to learn about our beliefs and teachings. We are not Jewish Christians and will not accept or allow you to teach us your belief, as many of us have already come out of the false teachings of Babylon, and do not wish to return. If that describes you, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE by group admin.

If you are an anti-Semite or exhibit the slightest tendency toward support of an anti-Semitic ideology, YOU WILL NOT BE TOLERATED for an instant. YOU WILL BE immediately SHUT OUT FROM THIS GROUP by the admin. And will not be allowed to return.

If you are disrespectful to other group members, use foul language, do not show proper respect to HaShem, you will be warned once only. If it happens again, your membership will be reviewed by the group admin.

If you are a ‘Flat Earth’ disciple, or teach any other calendar than the one established by Elohim (7 day weekly cycle, 7th day Shabbat, first phase of new moon is Rosh Chodesh, Abib barley in conjunction w/new moon establishes first month of the Biblical Calander), you are in the wrong group and will be asked to leave if you are here to teach or promote your cause.

If you have come to tell us that we need to study the Bible more so that we can share your point of view, or that if we disagree with your teaching, we do not have a relationship with the Ruach HaKodesh, You will be asked to leave by the Admin. We teach that there is only One who is perfect and only One who knows the beginning to the end of all things. However, there is a day coming unlike any other, when we will all see clearly; when we shall see Him face to face; when Kol Yisra’el will once more be united, when Elohim will awaken the dry bones in the valley too new life, when at the sound of the shofar the dead in Mashiyach Y’shua will be raised to live again, and those who are alive at the time and living for YHVH Y’shuati will be caught up with them in the air, to dwell with the Melech HaYisra’el, when we will be One with Him as He is with us, when every question man has asked concerning his understanding of the D’var HaElohim (Word of Elohim), will be answered, when every answer will be confirmed or corrected.

Until then our goal is to give our members and followers the opportunity to study, share, discuss, and learn from each other, concerning Torah, the Writings of the Netzarim (Ketuvim Netzarim, K.N.) and the Holy One of Yisra’el. Questions, comments, or suggestions are always welcome! Be blessed as we travel in the Spirit, up to Y’rushalyim, up to the House of YHVH Elohenu! Amen

Shalom Aleichem!

The Ketuvim Netzarim (K.N., Writings of the Jewish Sect called Nazareans Acts 24:5, also labeled the N.T. by the Roman Church), does not take precedence over the Tanak (O.T.). Everything Y’shua taught in the K.N., was an affirmation of what He had already said to Yisra’el in Torah. Remember that He never changes, and there is no contradiction to be found in Him, nor was there any to be found in His Talmidim (students). We must test all things by Torah (first five books of the O.T., Torah=teaching or instruction, not ‘law’, which it does contain), which has been confirmed as accurate by the Dead Sea Scrolls. In doing so we show no sign of being against Y’shua and His teaching in the K.N., rather we prevent ourselves from being misled!

If what we read is not in agreement with the Tanak, and specifically Torah, then it is either;

1. Misunderstood by us.
2. A poor translation of the original text.
3. A deliberate translational error (usually Anti-Semitic), by early Greek and Latin scribes (and later English) in support of Church doctrine.

Much of the false teaching we see today stems from our tendency to throughout the perceived ‘restrictions’ of Torah to obey some much more ‘agreeable’ church doctrine.

When examined in the Light of Torah, we find that particular doctrine supported only by a misunderstood or translational error based in the N.T., and created by a Greco/Romanish/Western understanding of a Torah-less, fair skinned, blue eyed, blond hair Germanic/European G-d.; can not stand up to the Test.

It is obedience to Y’shua Ben Elohim, and His Torah, that gives us freedom from deception. Using only the N.T. to understand the clear teaching of Y’shua and His Talmidim is called ‘circular reasoning.’ In other words, using your proof to prove itself.

My suggestion would be to take off the denominational blinders, and challenge each one of your closely held beliefs by taking them, and thoroughly challenging them through a study of the Tanakh. If your understanding is correct, then you should find it supported by His Word; if not, then be prepared to change your belief. By freely doing so you will not be misled, and your faith will be strengthened!
